Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, Special Oil Well Operator (boiler) Certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Area of Specialization: Oil and gas well drilling and well servicing
Specific Skills: Operate controls of drill or service rig, Train or arrange for training of crew, Keep records of drilling and servicing operations, Assemble and attach equipment to drill stem or wireline, Operate or direct the operation of wireline or unit controls, Operate recorders and computers in mobile logging or testing unit, Interpret data
Security and Safety: Driver's validity license check
Own Tools/Equipment: Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Ear plugs
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours, Standing for extended periods, Large workload
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Dangerous, Wet/damp, Noisy
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Willing to travel
