Title: Developmental service worker (At Behaviour Treatment Home)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time, On Call, Shift, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Salary: $16.97 Hourly for 40 hours per week, As per collective agreement
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Sudbury and Area, Ontario (3 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Group home, Community or neighbourhood centre
Target Groups or Clients: Male, Female, Persons with intellectual disabilities, Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with mental health disabilities
Specific Skills: Implement behaviour management programs, Provide personal services support to persons with special needs
Additional Skills: Housekeeping activities, Food preparation
Security and Safety: Criminal record check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Physically demanding
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Writing, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information, Continuous learning
