* Knowledge of AIAG standards, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, 8D, SPC, ISO9000, 5S and lean manufacturing will all be necessary to function properly in this position. * Must have strong process knowledge of injection molding and/or SMC molding. * BS degree in Engineering is preferred, a 4 year BS degree is required. * Hands on troubleshooting and support to plastics molding * Solid hands on Quality Engineering utilizing contemporary methods and techniques for tracking defects and affecting corrections.

Design, plan, and supervise; develop and implement improved ways to extract, process, and use raw materials; develop new materials that both improve the performance of products and take advantage of advances in technology; analyze the impact of the products they develop or the systems they design on the environment and on people using them; determine the causes of breakdowns; test manufactured products to maintain quality; estimate the time and cost to complete projects

Job responsibilities
Provide QE support for process improvements and problem solving for vehicle plastics molding department. Direct cross-functional teams for CI. Create and maintain and assess process control system. Develop and maintain QMS documentation including control plans, inspection standards, QAB’s, PFMEA’s and other related documents. Assist in ISO compliant including internal and third party audits.

Desired Qualifications
Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of QE experience in a vehicle manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of vehicle assembly operations and processes. Must be a self starter and be able to work with little supervision. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint. Experience with Mini Tab and Lotus Notes a plus.
