DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for execution and monitoring of all routines managed by IS Data Center Operations on a 24/7 work shift * Monitor system resources to ensure optimum performance, availability and prevent unplanned and prolonged downtime such as: Disk utilization, Network connectivity, Table space utilization, Database application availability, and System generated logs * Custodian of Production and Back Up Centers * Perform 1st level of troubleshooting in resolving technical problems and give recommendations for process improvement
SKILLS REQUIREMENT: * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or any 4 year related course * At least one year related experience in Data Center Operations and/or preferably with understanding of PLDT products and services, core applications and processes * Preferably Male * Must be able to work on graveyard shift, week ends, and/or holidays * Knowledge of AS4N, UNIX and Operating Systems, and server environments is an advantage * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, for both business and technical * Must be detail oriented, well organized and have an aptitude for learning new systems and applications.
