Community Welfare Work Full-time

The Diploma of Community Welfare is designed to prepare students to work at a professional level in the human services industry. During the course, students are trained in theory and practice to develop a high level of communication and management skills.
Workers in this role are usually also involved in service delivery, either direct client work and/or health promotion and community development projects. They operate at an advanced skill level and may also have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers. Employment opportunities include work in both government and non-government organisations which service the community in Australia and Internationally.

There is a shortage of aged care workers almost everywhere and the job pays a better hourly rate which gives better leverage to their permitted 20 hours of work. It pays between $16 to $38 depending upon the shift.
