Continuous Improvement – Lab Excellence Business Analyst

Primary Responsibilities
• Manage components of Lab Excellence projects from the project charter design to the final delivery including regular updates and savings / gains tracking under Program or Project Manager supervision;
• Lead teams to achieve specific and measurable goals under Lab Excellence Program guidance;
• Business Analyst responsibility should lead towards a Project Management responsibility in several years.
Reporting to
• Lab Excellence Program Manager
Specific Responsibilities
• The Lab Excellence Business Analyst is responsible for part(s) of Project(s):
o Support the ambitious Lab Excellence Goals regarding Core Tools, especially:
? Global Lab Capabilities and Locations (GLCL)
? Lab Voice-of-Customer Projects (VOC)
? Lab Forums
? Lab Core KPI
o When responsible for collecting data on behalf of a Project Manager he/she is accountable for getting things done in due time;
o He/she is involved in ‘benefit’ tracking, working directly under the supervision of the Program Manager in charge of Finance within Continuous Improvement;
o He/she is involved in managing our ‘Share-Point’ sites, working directly under the supervision of the Knowledge Management Officer and Lab Excellence Program Manager.
• The Lab Excellence Business Analyst could be asked to manage a small project under clear guidance of the Lab Excellence Program Manager;
• He/she has to work directly with several team members and for several projects, including local projects (e.g., deployment of a Program) or central ones (e.g., designing tools for a Program)
Profile
• Master’s degree in business management, economics or engineering;
• Internship with service organization in the field of ‘Quality’, ‘Process Improvement’ and/or ‘Finance’ is a plus;
• Fluent English – command of other European or Asian language(s) would be an additional benefit.
Required Skills
• Analytical: ability to handle quantitative information, perform estimation exercises, undertake analysis with guidance
• Communication: ability to summarize meetings, synthesize conclusions with guidance, prepare parts of presentations
• IT: basic familiarity with Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Word – an additional bonus but not required: Sharepoint, and web-based applications (Java, ASP, etc.);
• Ability to communicate effectively within a multidimensional organizational structure as well as organize and work with project teams from several businesses and functions;
• Leadership skills;
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as proactively and autonomously guide own activities.
