Sawsee Intrenational Corp's Teacher Exchange Program places skilled and experienced international teachers in American classrooms from
Kindergarten through 12th grade. This program gives international teachers a unique opportunity to share their knowledge and culture as
well as gain a valuable understanding of American culture, society, and teaching practices. Teaching in the United States is a great way
to share your culture, earn a good salary, and learn more about the American way of life. Qualified teachers will be matched to teaching
positions around the United States according to the needs of the schools and the qualifications of the teachers. Teachers need to be
certified in their country and have at least three years classroom experience in order to apply for this program.
Sawsee International Corp Teacher Exchange USA Program is designed to bring skilled and experienced international teachers to American
classrooms. This program gives schools a unique opportunity to provide their students and teachers insight into different cultures, as well
as engage in cultural exchange that will broaden the understanding of all participants.
Salaries for Teachers
Teachers are paid on the same salary scale as their U.S. counterparts according to their education and experience and to the job they
are offered. Teachers are paid directly from the school districts which they teach. Teacher salaries vary depending on the school district
the teacher works in. Generally, teachers in urban schools receive salaries ranging between 30,000 USD to 47,000 USD depending on their
education and experience. Teachers in rural schools may receive a slightly lower salary, but the cost of living is proportionately lower in
these regions.
Experience
Teachers are provided a unique opportunity to develop professionally and engage in cultural exchange with their colleagues and students.
Upon arrival, the teacher will have the opportunity to become an active member of their new community and learn about American culture
and traditions first hand. Teachers will also learn American pedagogical methods that will broaden their professional experience. It is AAG’s
goal that our participants return to their home countries with added knowledge which makes them better and more confident teachers.
Have a degree that meets the minimum requirement of a U.S. Bachelor’s degree.
Generally schools look for teachers with diplomas in the subject they teach in or at least 30 credit hours in that subject.
Have a minimum of three years teaching experience.
Teachers must have a minimum of three years teaching experience working with students between the ages of 5-18.
Be fluent in English
The program is a one to three year program in which teachers are expected to develop professionally. Most teachers are required to stay
a minimum of two years, according to the contract which is offered. Due to the fact that schools put a lot of time and energy into
bringing international teachers, many are unwilling to hire a teacher for a one year period. As the teacher gains experience in their new
environment during the first year, many find that the subsequent years are a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Family members eligible for visa sponsorship include a legal spouse and dependent children under the age of 21.
