Chefs – Pastry & Bakery Alberta – Canada
Key Responsibilities:
Uphold all sanitation and hygiene standards; be clean and presentable at all times.
Run a shift; organize a work plan, menus and ordering food for the shop.
Help Create and maintain a motivated team, encourages learning and growth.
Conduct and organize training, Ensure prep station lists are in order.
Understands and maintains Health and Safety Policies in a safe and injury free workplace by following Occupational Health & Safety Standard, Safe Work Practices Complying to all sanitation and Equipment Safety Checklist for operation and maintenance, Work within the Hotel budget guidelines for the kitchen and pastry shop, to take responsibility for minimizing, labor costs, food costs, wastage, unnecessary expenses, etc..
Maintain fresh ingredients with proper rotation.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
Experience working in a fast paced environment large capacity.
Proven organizational and coaching skills.
Ability to Create and maintain a team environment.
Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations.
Sincere desire to interact with guests and Provider phenomenal guest experiences and lasting memories.
Creative, artistic talent, knowledge of current culinary trends and pastry.
Computer knowledge is a bonus.
Ability to cost menus and Maintain budgeted food and labor cost.
Ability to work any shift and fill in when needed.
Excellent visual presentation skills.
Experience with working in a fine quality pastry shop or bakery.
Familiarity with upscale baking of pastry products.
Knowledge of Sugar work, chocolate work and are Showpieces assets.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma
Journeyman Papers for Pastry / Bakery.
Proven leadership skills are a must.
Excellent communication skills a must, both with kitchen and dining room team team.
IELTS score of 6 points and above (or ability to score this high) prior
to visa application and 6.5 bands ( with 7 speaking) prior to commencing
employment in Canada
We will provide the following services
Coordinate with the employer to obtain an Arranged Employment Opinion
(AEO) from HRDC
Arrival/relocation assistance in British Columbia.
The processing time to obtain a permanent resident visa for Canada is
currently taking 12 months on average for this type of visa.

Must be in a position to speak English fluently. Knowledge of French would be an added advantage.
