Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Food and beverage server certification
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Work Setting: Restaurant, Pub
Food and Beverage Serving Skills: Serve food and beverages, general plate service, Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings, Describe menu items including daily specials for customers, Advise on menu selections
Additional Skills: Customer service oriented, Assist customers with special needs, Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs, Load buspans and trays, Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Job task planning and organizing
