Nurses – General – Calgary – Canada
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
• Nursing standards/protocols as required in area of nursing specialty related to the job assignment.
• Balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities.
• Work within a team environment and to effectively contribute to client care planning processes and improvement in service delivery.
• Communication skills and ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of specific clients and to relay client information to physicians, who may be geographically removed, in a concise, accurate manner in order to facilitate the physician's treatment decisions.
• Assessment skills to recognize and respond appropriately to client change in status.
• Critical thinking/judgment skills
• Physical Effort/Strength Required:
• Physical demands include lifting, pulling and pushing, walking, standing, transferring and transporting clients and equipment up to a frequent basis
Experience:
At least one year relevant nursing experience desired.
Formal Education:
• Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program; RN required
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited academic institution desired.
We will provide the following services:
- Act as the liason between nurse and the employer to finalize the offer
of employment
- Coordinate with the employer to obtain an Arranged Employment Opinion
(AEO) from HRDC.
- Prepare and submit the nurse’s application for a permanent resident
visa to Canada
- Assist the nurse in obtaining an interim permit to practice as a nurse
with the BC LPN association.
- Arrival/relocation assistance in British Columbia.
The processing time to obtain a permanent resident visa for Canada is
currently taking 12 months on average for this type of visa.

Must be in a position to speak English fluently. Knowledge of French would be an added advantage.
