Title: Lumber handler - building supplies (Working Yard Foreman/woman)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day
Salary: $18.22 to $20.00 Hourly for 39 hours per week, Group Insurance Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Fort Nelson, British Columbia (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable
Experience: No experience
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Retail and wholesale distribution centre
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Specific Skills: Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment, Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products, Pick orders and stock, Wrap goods, Sort goods, Stack goods, Transport and distribute materials and goods, Maintain and organize inventory
Additional Skills: Customer service skills
Security and Safety: Bondable, Driving record check (abstract)
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Attention to detail
Work Site Environment: Outdoors
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning
