Mechanical press operator - metal products manufacturing

Title: Mechanical press operator - metal products manufacturing (Heavy Press Operator)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Weekend, Day
Salary: $12.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Windsor, Ontario (5 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Not required
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Structural steel fabrication company, Heavy machinery manufacturing company
Type of Machine or Equipment Set Up or Operation: Punch presses, Hand tools
Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Specific Skills: Read specifications or follow verbal instructions, Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products, Operate machines or equipment which weld, solder, bolt, screw or rivet metal parts together, Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Ear plugs
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail
Work Site Environment: Noisy
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Continuous learning
Other Information:Days to start, but could lead into shift work (days/afts). Patillo road area. Full time long term work. Must have 2 working references & safety boots/glasses. Starting ASAP!
