Title: Fitness leader - aquatic fitness (at Sports & LeisureDome)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time, On Call, Day
Salary: To be negotiated
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Alliston, Ontario (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, Aqua Fitness Instructor Certificate
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Languages: Speak English, Write English
Recreational Concentration: Aquatics, Aqua Fitness
Type of Clients: Adults
Work Setting: Fitness centre
Activity Focus: Leading/instructing groups
Specific Skills: Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques, Plan and carry out fitness and sports activities, Attend to clients with special needs, Enforce safety rules and regulations, Schedule activities, Conduct therapeutic recreational or athletic activities
Additional Skills: Provide emergency or first aid assistance, Keep logs and maintain records
Security and Safety: Bondable
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Own transportation, Public transportation is not available
Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Decision making, Continuous learning
Other Information:Candidates must be Certified Fitness Instructors. Candidates with experience in Aerobics and AquaFit preferred. Shifts are weekday morning shifts from 8am - 10am approx.
