Title: Recreation program leader (Winter Physical Activity Leader)
Terms of Employment: Seasonal, Part Time, Weekend, Day, Evening
Salary: $14.11 Hourly for 20 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: 2012/01/16
Location: Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia (2 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Recreational Concentration: Creative Play, Snowshoeing, Games
Type of Clients: All ages, Families, Children, Adolescents, Adults, Seniors, Persons with physical disabilities, Cultural groups
Work Setting: Community centre, Government department
Activity Focus: Leading/instructing groups
Specific Skills: Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs, Plan and carry out recreational activities, Provide lifestyle awareness information
Additional Skills: Provide emergency or first aid assistance, Assist with special events, Prepare reports, Maintain and repair sports equipment, Keep logs and maintain records
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Vehicle supplied by employer, Willing to travel regularly
Work Location Information: Various locations
Work Site Environment: Outdoors
Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing
