Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Canadian Welding Bureau Certification, Technical Standards Safety Authority (TSSA) Certification
Experience: 5 years or more
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Major Work Area: Construction, Maintenance/repair, New fabrication
Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Manufacturing, Commercial
Area of Specialization: Custom fabrication, Auto repair, Truck repair, Machinery or equipment repair, Pressure vessels, Structural construction, Cast iron and other metals, Ornamental work, Fencing, balconies, stairs and railings
Welding Techniques: Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) (MIG), Flux core arc welding (FCAW), Plasma arc welding (PAW), Brazing and soldering
