Title: Blow moulding machine operator - plastic manufacturing (EXPERIENCED BLOW MOULDING OPERATOR)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $2,100.00 to $2,300.00 Monthly for 35 hours per week, Bonus, Other Benefits, Medical Benefits, Dental Benefits, Life Insurance Benefits, Group Insurance Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Calgary, Alberta (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English
Specific Skills: Weigh resins, colorants and other chemicals according to formulae, Place weighed materials in mixing machines, Operate mixing machine to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity, Unload mixture into container or conveyor for further processing, Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die, Change dies on extruding machines according to production line change, Set up and operate one or more moulding machines to mould plastic products, Prepare and Change moulds and adjust equipment for production line change, Follow formulation card to mix resin batches for injection moulding process, Trimming and sanding plastic or fiberglass parts, Write technical and inspection reports
Additional Skills: Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment, Monitor and inspect quality of material produced, Maintain records and inventory, Pack items for shipping and distribution, Robotics and Programming knowledge, Knowledge of various plastic resins
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilites: Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Manual dexterity, Handling heavy loads, Hand-eye co-ordination
