Title: Welder-fitter
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Overtime, Day, Evening
Salary: $19.00 to $25.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Windsor, Ontario (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Welding Techniques: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) (MIG)
Welding Positions: Flat
Materials: Steel, iron and heavy metals
Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Additional Skills: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Mask, Face shield, Welding helmet
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Continuous learning
Other Information:Must be able to read blueprints, stainless steel experience an asset, must have experience with mild steel, certification considered a major asset, temp to potential hire for right candidate.
