Title: Floor covering installer
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $23.00 to $25.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Big Valley, Alberta (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Major Work Area: Installation
Specific Skills: Measure and mark surfaces to be covered, Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding, Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors, Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings, Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, Employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting
Additional Skills: Estimate labour and material costs
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding
Other Information:- If candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience a Post Secondary certificate is required
